Windows XP Home (SP1)
On this machine, my previous version of MS Office, Office 11 or 2003,
worked fine with several different printers. I'm experimenting with the pre-release version of MS Office 12, and I havenít explored much beyond Word. It has some problems, one of which seems to be that it canít load a printer dll.
Word 12 prints fine using my old HP LaserJet 5M. But Word wonít print if I try to use the Lexmark Z611.
Word will give an alert saying it can not (sic) load library LXBCPRP.DLL. This happens three times (dismissed with OK button) and another alert titled Background connect to printer says, cannot connect to printer (dismissed with the cancel button). Then Word crashes.
This happens when I try to print using the Lexmark Z611, when I use Insert > Text Box, and it used to happen when I opened Word, but for some reason has stopped that behavior for now.
That DLL is on my system:
So how can I get Word to load the dll properly?
