I recently installed cameras at the bar I own and have recorded and stored some of the video to a flash drive.  The flash drive is fine, i.e. I can play it on other computers, but the main bar computer says that it cannot play because remote200.ocx is not found.  I appreciate any help I can get.  Thanks.

I am having this same problem with a DVD that I am trying to play on Vista.  There is a fix they have out there changing User Account Controls, unticking the box, but this did not correct my problem.  Anyone know another way.  The error is "Remote200.ocx not installed or it couldn't be installed.  Please check user privilege."  I could really use a fix for this.

I think this should help your problem with the error from Remote200.ocx.

It is a very easy to follow step by step pdf file.

I signed up on this forum so I could post the solution for anyone else looking for these files.

The issue is that the DVR_PLAYER.exe program doesn't download the ActiveX controls that it needs when you download it as a standalone program.

Since I had to give my .drv files to the police, I had to provide the player, too.
I'm using Windows XP SP3.

I found the files on the DVR machine side and copied them to the computer running DVR_PLAYER.exe.  Bingo.

Here's a link to a zip folder with DVR_PLAYER.exe as well as the two .ocx files it needs.
